Hi, there! Hope everyone's recovering from Saturday -- a nice high point to cap a difficult fall! But wait! You're not done yet! We have ONE more game on Oct. 22 -- a touch game -- plus tons of community and social events/opportunities coming up. You don't get to REALLY rest till November/December. :) Here are the bare-bones details. More will come in separate emails as the events draw closer, but for now, please mark your calendars and start communicating to the organizers what you're available to help with.
**Oct. 15-16: Baltimore Running Restival is Saturday, and several of our teammates are running. Wish 'em a good run and nice weather! Also, the Rugby World Cup semifinals are on TV. Also also, I'm developing a rugby-themed hike that I'd like to test this weekend; if anyone wants to join me, let me know. It'll be at Sugarloaf and take a couple of hours. RSVP to me
**Tuesday, Oct. 18: HOLY GRAIL PARTY at Nikki's house. Let's get together to watch the movie and get costume ideas for the Halloween crawl! We'll mount horses at 7 p.m. and commence with the coconut-clapping. Dinner by Lacy. BYO drinks. RSVP to Lacy
**Thursday, Oct. 20: TOUCH PRACTICE at Hill Street, 8-9 p.m. Please RSVP to Lacy or me.
**Saturday, Oct. 22: TOUCH GAME vs. Wharton women's touch team. Kickoff at 11 at Walnut Ridge. Social to follow. You'll get full details from Lacy shortly! If you haven't RSVP'd to Lacy, please do so ASAP.
**Sunday, Oct. 23: KICKING AND LINE-OUT CLINICS in D.C., $10 pre-registration, 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Several of us are attending. How 'bout you? We'll be done in time to catch some of the Furies action back home at Walnut Ridge. Also, before all that, in the wee hours Sunday, the Rugby World Cup final will be on TV (NBC is replaying it later in the day, for those who don't care to see it live). RSVP to me.
**Wed.-Fri., Oct. 26-28: HAUNTED RUGBY GAME. The city has invited the men's and women's teams to join the Haunted Baker Park event. We'll need volunteers each night. Full details coming soon in a separate email. RSVP to me.
